Calling the IRGC a terrorist group is a clear message against naked violence. تروریستی خواندن سپاه پیامی صریح علیه خشونت عریان است

The designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization should have taken place in the early years following the Iranian Revolution. Had the international community acted decisively at that time, this institution would not have been able to expand its influence and contribute to widespread violence, terrorism, and mass civilian casualties across the region — including in Palestine, Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, and most critically, within Iran itself.

Failure to address this threat at its inception allowed the IRGC and its affiliated proxy groups to grow into powerful transnational actors, destabilizing entire regions and generating deep concern within the global community. The continued existence and operation of these networks represent a serious threat not only to the Middle East, but to international peace and security as a whole.

It is not yet too late for the international community to take coordinated and decisive action against the IRGC, its proxy militias, and the governing structure of the Islamic Republic that enables them. Without meaningful intervention, extremist and violent Islamist movements risk expanding their reach beyond the Middle East into Europe, North America, and Oceania, replicating the patterns of repression, violence, and instability already imposed on the people of Iran.

The world must act urgently and responsibly to confront and dismantle these extremist and terrorist structures at their roots, in order to prevent further human suffering and to safeguard global security.

تروریستی اعلام کردن سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی می‌بایست در سال‌های اولیه پس از انقلاب ایران انجام می‌شد. اگر جامعه بین‌المللی در آن زمان به‌طور قاطع اقدام می‌کرد، این نهاد نمی‌توانست نفوذ خود را گسترش دهد و در شکل‌گیری خشونت گسترده، تروریسم و کشتار غیرنظامیان در منطقه نقش ایفا کند؛ از جمله در فلسطین، لبنان، غزه، یمن و از همه مهم‌تر در داخل ایران.

بی‌توجهی به این تهدید در همان مراحل ابتدایی، موجب شد سپاه پاسداران و نیروهای نیابتی وابسته به آن به بازیگرانی قدرتمند و فراملی تبدیل شوند که ثبات مناطق گسترده‌ای را بر هم زده و نگرانی جدی جامعه جهانی را برانگیخته‌اند. ادامه فعالیت این شبکه‌ها، تهدیدی جدی نه‌تنها برای خاورمیانه، بلکه برای صلح و امنیت بین‌المللی به‌شمار می‌رود.

هنوز برای اقدام هماهنگ و قاطع جامعه بین‌المللی علیه سپاه پاسداران، نیروهای نیابتی آن و ساختار حاکم جمهوری اسلامی که زمینه فعالیت این گروه‌ها را فراهم کرده است، دیر نشده است. در صورت عدم مداخله مؤثر، جریان‌های اسلام‌گرای افراطی و خشونت‌طلب می‌توانند دامنه نفوذ خود را فراتر از خاورمیانه و به اروپا، آمریکای شمالی و اقیانوسیه گسترش دهند و همان الگوهای سرکوب، خشونت و بی‌ثباتی را که بر مردم ایران تحمیل شده است، در سایر نقاط جهان نیز تکرار کنند.

جهان باید با فوریت، مسئولیت‌پذیری و بر پایه اصول حقوق بین‌الملل، برای مقابله و برچیدن ریشه‌ای این ساختارهای افراطی و تروریستی اقدام کند تا از تداوم رنج انسانی جلوگیری شده و امنیت جهانی حفظ شود.
